Everywhere in the world poor and wealthy live side by side partly because they need each other and partly because they have made different choices for their lives. The estates that are homes to the wealthy are usually the immediate neighours to the low grade dwellings that house the low income earners who work for them. The few rich people and their poor workers live together or spend significant time together. However they have not created a social platform for influencing the mindset of each other, particularly one a support the growth of the poor person in the duo relationship.
For example, their households share the same resources, but remain partitioned by their different mindsets and characters - one household keeping the provider role and leader character, the other keeping the consumer position and follower character. Elsewhere the estates and streets of Nairobi, and Kampala is home to many frustrated people bound by a common bond – the unending search for an instant coffee “wealth creation formula”, which am afraid, does not exist. The world over, the poor are seeking perpetually long term security and big rewards that require taking calculated risks and building a character over the learning phase, but they are doing the exact opposite. Being broke means choosing to go without the fun of life while creating the wealth platform and a character. Being broke certainly means more stress, sometimes depression, anger, worries, and even real fears but is temporary. Your financial success depends on which ‘bank account of behaviors’ you draw on - behaviors of the poor or those of the wealthy. Emerging from a broke status, requires drawing with excellence on all the strengths of the wealthy, and a can do belief and habits everyday into an idea to turn it to cash flow. The wealthy choose a strong vision and creativity - pick smart simple ideas and act on them with courage to develop knowledge and then skills by repeated application of knowledge. They engage self control and self confidence when mounting a dedicated action plan to build a prosperous future, sometimes from nothing. Broke is a temporary choice, when you are willing to overcome it. Life is run by the “law of cause and effect and that “dreaming big dreams, triggers ideas you need to succeed”. When you become tired of being broke and feeling sorry for yourself, you have just got ready to truly get over all your excuses and embrace the opportunities around you.
